FAQ's

What is naturopathic medicine?

Integrative Care focuses on identifying and addressing the underlying causes of illness rather than simply managing symptoms. I combine evidence-based medicine, functional medicine principles, lifestyle changes, nutrition, and targeted therapies to create personalized care plans that support your body's ability to heal.

What conditions do you commonly treat?

We commonly work with patients experiencing:

  • Hormone imbalances

  • Fatigue and low energy

  • Thyroid concerns

  • Digestive and gut health issues

  • Weight management

  • Women's health concerns

  • Chronic inflammation

  • Insulin resistance and metabolic health

  • Preventative wellness

If you're unsure whether we can help, we'd be happy to discuss your concerns.

Do you offer telehealth appointments?

Yes! We offer secure telehealth appointments for many services, allowing you to receive personalized care from the comfort of your home. Some treatments or procedures may require an in-office visit.

Do you see patients locally?

Yes! We welcome patients to our office in Casper, Wyoming, and also provide telehealth appointments for eligible patients.

What can I expect during my first appointment?

Your first visit is designed to be thorough and unrushed. We'll review your health history, current symptoms, lifestyle, previous lab work, and health goals. Our goal is to understand the whole picture so we can develop a personalized plan that fits your needs.

Do you order laboratory testing?

Yes. When appropriate, I may recommend laboratory testing to better understand what's happening beneath the surface. I review results carefully and explain them in a way that's easy to understand.

How do I become a new patient?

Getting started is easy.

  1. Complete the appointment request form.

  2. We'll contact you to schedule your visit.

  3. You'll receive your new patient paperwork before your appointment.

What should I bring to my appointment?

If available, please bring:

  • Current medications and supplements

  • Recent laboratory results

  • Questions you'd like to discuss

How long are appointments?

We intentionally schedule enough time to truly understand your concerns. Appointment length varies depending on whether you're a new or returning patient, but you'll never feel rushed.

Will you work with my primary care provider?

Absolutely. We believe the best care happens when healthcare providers work together. If you'd like, we are happy to collaborate with your primary care provider or specialists as part of your care.

Do you prescribe medications?

Yes. As a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Amanda can prescribe medications when appropriate. Our goal is to use the most appropriate combination of lifestyle medicine, nutrition, supplements, and prescription therapies based on your individual needs.

Do you recommend supplements?

Only when they're appropriate for your specific health goals. I avoid unnecessary supplements and focus on recommendations that are supported by your symptoms, health history, and laboratory findings.

How soon will I feel better?

Every patient is different. Some notice improvements quickly, while others require more time as we address underlying factors. My focus is on creating sustainable improvements in your long-term health rather than offering quick fixes.
